The Evil Diaries: Mitie and Pantheon

Mitie (MTO) bought back last Friday a further 105,000 shares – this time at 241p. This is part of a share support operation since the price keeps going down. After all, if it were the case that MTO is seriously undervalued the management would be justified in buying millions at a time. Pathetic really.

Pantheon (PANR) came up with a perfectly sensible RNS last week and came back 5%. This was partly to do with the Nymex price but mainly to do with ivestors’ ennui. They’ll regret it. Now 132p.

Latish Friday the William Hill £50,000 landed in my bank account. The delay had not arisen through an intention not to pay (but see below for real calumny) but as a result of cretinous regulators involving themselves. William Hill tried to blame the Gambling Commission but I am certain that they should blame themselves. Anyway, all’s well that ends well.

However, news reaches me of a punter who bet £100,000 at evens on a football team which duly obliged by winning. At this point the manager of the bookmaking concern in question rang him up to ask what was the name of the team’s manager. The punter did not know. Which declaration was and is being claimed by the bookmaker as proof/evidence that the punter was really placing the £100,000 beneficially for A N Other contrary to the rules of the bookmaker. This matter now proceeds to the High Court.

Finally, Mrs Leadsom has now proved herself to be an idiot and, further, she is not much good at lying – just look at her CV. She has been deliberately deceitful with a view solely to personal advantage. On Saturday I put £10,000 on Mrs May at 1/4 to emerge as PM.
