Master Investor Ltd records strong revenue growth
The UK investment media company, Master Investor Ltd, has recorded a 68% increase in revenue generated from its yearly flagship investment event. The Master Investor Show will take place at the Business Design Centre, London, on 23rd April. Exhibitor spaces sold out at the start of April and delegate sign-ups are at capacity. The success of this year’s event in reaching new delegates and world-class exhibitors, is the result of an operational transformation initiated less than two years ago.
The ownership and management of the Master Investor Show changed in early 2014. The new management instigated a dynamic approach to staffing, logistics and sales. Swen Lorenz, Master Investor Ltd. board member since June 2014 and full-time CEO of the company since May 2015, commented:
“We substantially decreased staffing and costs in areas such as sales and executive management; overhauled and expanded our event marketing; and dramatically improved the size and quality of our flagship event. In a 2-year comparison, show revenue is up 107% and our registered audience has grown by a staggering 291%. Our company has achieved significant revenue growth while simultaneously carrying out intense operational changes.”
The Master Investor Show 2016 has 10,000 registered delegates, making it one of the largest events for private investors in Europe. The event has 100 exhibitor spaces and 50 speaking slots – both sold out well in advance. A driving force in the turnaround was the securing of prestigious new exhibitors, including:
– Charles Schwab, one of the US’ largest stock brokers.
– William Hill, the world’s largest bookmaker and member of the FTSE 250 Index.
– Edison Investment Research, Europe’s leading independent equity research firm.
– HarbourVest, a private equity company with $36bn in assets under management.
– 7 Investment Management, the £10bn fund manager.
– ICAP-ISDX, a Recognised Investment Exchange (RIE).
Running along-side the event, Master Investor Ltd. operates a high quality free e-magazine targeted to the British investor community, as well as a daily blog and e-newsletter. This platform provides the umbrella under which the company merged a number of well-known, but small, investment publications now serving a 70,000 strong readership base.
