The morning news update with Intercontinental Hotels, esure and Vmoto

FTSE 100

Intercontinental Hotels (IHG) – has accepted the offer from Constellation Hotels France Grand SA, an affiliate of Constellation Hotels Holding Limited, to acquire InterContinental Paris – Le Grand for €330 million ($406 million).

FTSE 250

Segro (SGRO) – has completed the disposal of seven regional German industrial estates and exchanged contracts to dispose of a further three to Hansteen Holdings PLC, for a total of  €45.8 million (£36.1 million).

Carillion (CLLN) – has signed a £75 million contract with Liverpool Football Club to deliver the expansion of the Club’s Main Stand and associated improvement works.

esure (ESUR) – has conditionally agreed to acquire the outstanding 50% of Gocompare.com Holdings Limited for a consideration of £95 million, increasing its holding to 100%.

Small caps

Atlas Development & Support (ADSS) – has been awarded its first contract in Tanzania, to provide turn-key support services including workforce accommodation, facilities management, medical infrastructure, and logistical support to an international drilling company which is commencing activities in the Ruvuma Basin. 

Motive Television (MTV) – will start taking pre-orders for TabletTV UK (TTVUK) for Christmas delivery.

Cohort (CHRT) – subsidiary MASS has been awarded three contracts to provide Electronic Warfare (EW) Operational Support services with a value of around £8 million.  Delivery of all contracts will commence immediately.

Digital Barriers (DGB) – announces three contracts that together should generate approximately £1.5 million of revenue in this financial year.

Vmoto (VMT) – previous earnings guidance for the financial year ending 31st December 2014 of between A$2.5 million and A$3.0 million, anticipated to be at the higher end of this range
