Plus500 looks to move to main market

Digital trading platform Plus500 (LON:PLUS) has announced that it intends to move its listing from AIM to the main market of the London Stock Exchange. The company said that it believes this move will provide a more appropriate platform for continued growth and benefit shareholders by introducing more stringent corporate governance requirements.

CEO Asif Elimelech said: “We therefore believe now is the right time to seek the listing to help further advance our ambitious global growth plans”. As regular readers will know, our own Evil Knievil takes a very different view on Plus500’s prospects and he reiterated his stance this morning.

Shares in the firm stood at 1,694p at 14:15 BST today, up by 4.57% over the course of the morning.
