Options in the US are pricing in a resolution of the fiscal cliff before the day is out as the VIX gets crushed.
We didn’t see a nose over 6000 on the FTSE before the end of 2012 but, if the US politicians put their house in order, then it seems all but a cert that we’ll take out this key level that has proved elusive in recent years in the early part of the New Year.
