The share price of FTSE 100 supermarket chain Tesco (LON:TSCO) has risen by 4.61% to 243p (as of 14:00 GMT) after it said it was evaluating the possible sale of its Malaysian and Thai businesses. The company said that it had received inbound interest and was reviewing all strategic options.

No decisions have been made at this point and there is no guarantee that either business will be sold, but management said that further updates will be provided to the markets in due course.
