The share price of AIM-listed agricultural products business Plant Health Care (LON:PHC) climbed by 13.63% to 9.54p (as of 14:05 GMT) following an update on its Brazilian operations. The company has received a licence to import unlimited quantities of its Harpin product into the country, which will allow it to satisfy existing demand in the sugar cane and row crop markets.

CEO Chris Richards commented: “This import licence unblocks sales of Harpin 𝜶β to Brazil, which we had anticipated in 2019. We are now free to explore ways of ramping up sales to sugar cane in Brazil even faster. With more than 8 million Ha of sugar cane planted in Brazil, this is a huge opportunity for the Company“.
