Evil Knievil: The world needs palm oil and will pay

I heard on the wireless that Mifid II contains 1.7 million paragraphs spread over 7,000 pages. HMRC has always proceeded on the basis that ignorance of the law is no excuse when in fact it is quite impossible for one man to know the law. Mifid II seems to be getting in on this act. Dear God!

In last week’s Times I noted that the defence team in the Tesco fraud trial are increasingly confident that the SFO case is riddled with drivel. I am not surprised.

Keir Starmer is allegedly not to blame for the preposterously light sentencing of Worboys. Be it noted – and here I am indebted to Guido Fawkes – the two of them look remarkably similar. It makes one wonder. Brother love?

As fast as I buy Clear Leisure (LON:CLP) more pops out. However, I shall not yield. Now 0.9p to buy.

Finally, I think 2018 is the year of REA Holdings (LON:RE.). The palm oil price is down perhaps 20% in 2017 and does not look helpful. However, the world needs palm oil and will pay. The target remains 700p. Now 335p.

MIFID is causing chaos.Jarvis says I can’t buy investment trusts without asking for a KID first yet HL. has no problem.ETFs are also dodgy.

Yes, Mifid II is causing huge problems.
As I try to sell then buy US ETFs, I am prevented from purchase as ” No KID or KIID available” is thrown up. What happened to the transition period (6 months?) that all the mainland Europeans seem to be relying on and why does a perfectly straightforward ETF need a KID/KIID (Kiddie info doc?) anyway?
