Master Investor Show supports leading UK charities
The Institute of Economic Affairs and The Prince’s Trust are the chosen charity partners at annual show of UK investment media platform, Master Investor Ltd.
This April, the UK’s premier investment event will showcase two inspirational charities to thousands of active investors. The Master Investor Show 2016 takes place at the Business Design Centre, Islington, London on 23rd April. 9,000 delegates are registered to attend, alongside 90 exhibiting companies and 42 guest speakers. Event organisers, Master Investor Ltd, continue their tradition of supporting innovative charities, giving two chosen charitable organisations an opportunity to connect with an audience of affluent delegate investors.
The Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA), an educational charity and the UK’s leading free market think tank, was described by Andrew Marr as “the most influential think tank in modern British history”. The IEA will use the Master Investor Show to showcase their research, events and extensive student education programme. Youth charity, The Prince’s Trust, helps disadvantaged young people improve their job prospects. As well as exhibiting, young people from Tomorrow’s Store will sell their merchandise to delegates. Tomorrow’s Store is The Prince’s Trust’s London shop stocked entirely with products produced by young entrepreneurs the charity has helped to set up in business. Youngsters are also invited to a talk on entrepreneurism, hosted by Caroline Drewett.
Independent of political parties, the IEA aims to improve the public’s understanding of the crucial role markets play in solving economic and social problems. Since its founding in 1955, the IEA has spread the free market message to millions through its publications, films and events and through countless media appearances – in print, on air and online. The IEA advocates smaller government, lower taxes and less regulation.
The Prince’s Trust was set up by His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales in 1976. The organisation has provided practical and financial support to 825,000 young people in the UK, helping disadvantaged 13 to 30 year olds develop the self-esteem and skills needed for work. Since 1983, the organisation has helped set up more than 80,000 new businesses.
Master Investor CEO, Swen Lorenz, commented: “Our annual show attracts companies from the world of finance, investing and entrepreneurship. Each year, we set aside 2 stands to support charities whose mission is relevant to our audience, and who benefit from access to our delegates. I’m delighted that the Institute of Economic Affairs and The Prince’s Trust will have such an active, exciting role at the Master Investor Show.”
