We are pleased to relay to SBM readers that Zak Mir has today been appointed Editor of Spreadbet Magazine.

Regular readers will know that Zak has his own particular style and is known for covering AIM and smaller company stocks – an area that many technicians shy away from. He is a number one best selling  investment author and probably the UK’s best known technical analyst and he now takes the reins from me at a transformational time for our rapidly expanding publication, as well as a key moment in the financial markets.

The plunging price of Gold has focused both retail investors, traders and institutions on how to profit from a post QE environment with Spreadbet Magazine at the vanguard in terms of providing no nonsense, objective commentary and analysis on this issue, as well as the key price action drivers in the financial markets.

Zak Mir comments: “In less than a year I have gone from being a fan of Spreadbet Magazine as a reader, then a contributor and now Editor. What stands out for me about this publication is that it hits the spot in providing knowledge and industry insight which is relevant to both the novice trader and City professional alike – something that is pretty rare and also being truly independent. This is a theme I am delighted to run with, adding in over 20 years of my enthusiasm for spread betting and the financial markets.

Richard Jennings, former editor and founder of Spreadbet Magazine added the following – “Zak has proved himself to be a great asset to our unique publication, and that is now closing on its second birthday. I am delighted to hand over the reins to such a capable and knowledgeable individual with his own inimitable style and we all look forward to the next stage of development for our magazine, one that will continue to focus upon education, trade ideas and general non-nonsense commentary for our loyal readers”.

I now will be concentrating on the running of our new venture Titan Investment Partners which received its FCA authorisation today and, uniquely, uses a spread betting wrapper in the pursuit of tax free returns. Our own capital has been invested in each of our 3 initial funds – Global Macro, Natural Resources and Precious Metals Funds and we will produce quarterly returns measures on this site.
