Galliford Try (GFRD) – that its Morrison Construction business has achieved financial close on the £45.2 million Hub South East Scotland Ltd contract for NHS Lothian to build and operate the first phase of the redevelopment of the Royal Edinburgh Hospital. 

AVEVA (AVV) – has acquired 8over8 Limited from management and certain private individuals for £26.9 million. 8over8 is a software business, headquartered in Northern Ireland with operations in North America, Middle East and Australia, providing contract risk management software to the Oil & Gas, Mining and other infrastructure industries.

Small caps

PureCircle (PURE) – Sales in 1H FY15 are expected to be $43m, an increase of 24% against 1H FY14.

Leeds Group (LDSG) – posts sales in the sox months to November of £18,581,000 (2013: £18,461,000) and a profit after tax of £701,000.

ITM Power (ITM) – has begun a significant expansion of the manufacturing facilities at its Atlas Way site in Sheffield. The expansion includes two new test bays for acceptance testing of HGas Power-to-Gas units and the provision of a new 1MW substation.

Rangers International (RFC) – has received an approach from Robert Sarver (or a vehicle to be established and controlled by him) that may or may not lead to an offer being made for the company.

Alkane Energy (ALK) – Alkane has won Capacity Mechanism Agreements covering 101MW starting from October 2018, and will earn a combined additional revenue of £14.4m under the Agreements over the period to September 2033.
