Pets at Home climbs on quarterly update

FTSE 250 retailer Pets at Home (LON:PETS) saw its share price increase by 2.58% to 294.20p (as of 13:25 GMT) as group revenues for the 12 weeks to 2nd January rose by 7.9%, driven by the company’s vet business. Management retained their full-year guidance.
CEO Peter Pritchard commented: “Our sales performance in the quarter proves once again that by offering convenient and affordable pet care to customers, we can further strengthen our market leading position. Against a backdrop of unprecedented consumer volatility, our continued momentum leaves us very much on track with our plans for the year“.
