Shares in FTSE 100 grocery delivery firm Ocado (LON:OCDO) fell by 2.77% to 2,668p (as of 15:30 BST) after the firm was accused of infringing patents. Norwegian firm AutoStore has alleged that Ocado’s warehouse technology uses proprietary technology belonging to AutoStore and is seeking damages as well as a ban on the manufacture of the technology and its importation in to the USA.
Ocado’s management say that they have not received any papers related to these claims. The company says it has multiple patents protecting its technology and will defend them actively.
