FTSE 100 Morning Update

Money was for miners on the FTSE 100 with Fresnillo (LON:FRES), Polymetal (LON:POLY), and Antofagasta (LON:ANTO) topping the day as the gold price hit a new record.
At the other end of the table, there are continued problems for industries negatively effected by COVID. Pearson (LON:PSON) sunk furthest, but IAG (LON:IAG) and InterContinental Hotels Group (LON:IHG) also saw notable drops.
Tuesday morning will see Fresnillo publish interim results so we may see another active day for the shares.
