Ferrexpo shares fall as production drops

Iron pellet production in the second quarter of 2018 fell by 2.9% at FTSE 250 outfit Ferrexpo (LON:FXPO). Total production for the 3 months was 2.511 million tonnes of pellets, which were entirely produced from the company’s own ore.

Production for the year to date is down by 1.2% relative to the same point in the prior year, in part due to a pellet line being out of action for 65 days due to refurbishment. Shares in Ferrexpo were 176.65p at 11:00 BST, down by 3.63%.
