I am sure the Dorchester sensibly seek to distance themselves from the shenanigans at The Presidents Club’s function, since although all sorts of extramural bonking has been initiated and conducted at the hotel, the fact remains that such a reputation can only lead to revulsion in the minds of some potential customers.

For, apparently, Great Ormond Street Hospital are to send back not only the money they had received for this year’s bash but for preceding years, perhaps £500,000. One wonders what those who have worked tirelessly to raise cash for GOSH over the years think at seeing so much handed back for some principle yet to be identified.

HMG has floated the idea of a £2 maximum stake for FOBT’s (fixed odds betting terminals). This is too low a limit and will, I guess, be ignored in the end. This makes Ladbroke Coral (LON:LCL) a buy at 170p.

Fevertree (LON:FEVR) keeps motoring ahead and now stands at 2,370p. Wiser men than I would keep their mouths shut. But for me fantasy is fantasy. Stay short.

Sage (LON:SGE) has started to go wrong. I went short again at 754p this morning. More follows.

Accrol (LON:ACRL) has been a pretty good disaster. Pay no attention. For I am assured that all will be well in the end. A buy at 37p.

Musk has got chutzpah. Instead of basing his remuneration options package at Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) on the current price, $345, he bases it on the possibility of a staggering rise. This deflects attention from the fact that such a rise cannot happen.
