About twenty years ago I was host to Clem Chambers in a dive just off the Champs Elysees (where Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin had been serious performers) and noted Clem’s fervent beliefs about ADFVN (LON:AFN). It never occurred to me that no dividend would be paid until these twenty years had passed by. But yesterday just such a prospect emerged. Of course tnav is very slim but AFN may at long last attract a bid. I have no idea as to what level will obtain but I suspect it’s rather more than the current 74p.
Hello youngish lovers: Brighton Pier (LON:PIER) awaits the end of Covid-19 restrictions. The only estimate out there is 6p for the year ending 30th June 2022. This seems very low. Further, I understand that it is impossible to book a hotel in Brighton right now. Just ring The Accomplished Adulterer (0845 6070999) and see how you go. PIER stand at 67p offer. There is plenty of ice cream on offer.
Orosur (LON:OMI) have today announced stunning drilling results at Anza in Colombia. The bid is surely coming and I think it will be well north of 40p.
Logistics Developments Group (LON:LDG) are 13.5p to buy as against 18p per share of cash pursuant to the disposals announced a few days ago. I expect the price will not go far until an announcement or two comes through. But the current price rates the management as incompetent or dishonest whereas there is no evidence of either.
