The price of shares in CFD specialist Plus500 (LON:PLUS) has climbed by 7.01% to 576.80p (as of 13:00 BST) after it said that revenues had risen sharply during the second quarter of 2019 relative to the first three months. Low volatility had negatively impacted trading at the start of the year, but revenues for April to June were around 74% higher than those for January to March.

The company also noted a decrease in its rivals’ marketing activity while it has maintained pace, which has made customer acquisition easier and cheaper than in the past.
