Foxtons (FOXT) keep on buying back their stock. This is weird given its loss-making prospects. The same goes for Mitie (MTO).

My long oil trade has started to go the right way. It was showing a £30,000 loss but has now obliged by moving into a £30,000 profit. To he who waits all shall come.

Finally, as part of my campaign to be better informed as to how to bet on the Oscars, my wife and I went off to The Revenant yesterday night (well, it finished getting on for midnight). This is really an advert for the benefits of visiting the barber, shampooing one’s hair and combing it. The trouble is that the ad goes on for two and a half hours. Too long. But Di Caprio presumably gets the best actor award: his locks are really really greasy.
