Make mine a large one

Apparently, Phil Bentley has decided to effect an external and supposedly independent review of accounting at Mitie (LON:MTO). This is ridiculous since the current auditors have been over matters several times already. So what is really happening is that Phil wants to go a-kitchen-sinking. It will not be pretty.

As to what the business’s prospects will be reckoned to be after all this I have no idea save that the costs this business faces are, by the admission of its own management, fundamentally insurmountable. If I were Phil I’d get on with a rights issue a.s.a.p. A large one.

Molins (LON:MLIN) seems to be crawling up as expected. It’s all about pension fund surpluses. There remains the chance that the business is doing well as well.

Orosur (LON:OMI) reported this morning. The market likes it. And about time too.

Finally, I got Birdman crashingly wrong for the Oscars a couple of years ago. So, were I wise, I’d give this branch of forecasting a miss. But, really, La La Land is a very boring film and really ought not to win even though it is sharp odds on in the betting.
