For someone of my advancing years it may be said that the ultimate in cool is still Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Junior and the rest of the Rat Pack “performing” at the Sands Hotel, Las Vegas.

Clearly, ZaksTradingCafe is not quite yet up to the hipster quotient of our late friends, and The Holiday Inn, Regent’s Park is still working its way up on the glitz scale, but it is a start.

Tomorrow evening the central London hotel will witness the return of ZaksTradingCafe, after nearly a year, sponsored by portfolio management software specialist VectorVest.

The idea behind the café was to educate and inform, amuse and entertain, as much as the genre of the financial markets can permit. That said, recent weeks have seen the return of volatility to stocks and indices, with the fear factor amongst traders and investors hitting a high. Indeed, you could say that even the most cool of cucumbers, Warren Buffett was forced to be fearful over Tesco (TSCO) when even non billionaires are currently.

ZaksTradingCafe Agenda

  1. The Markets: Life With Ebola And Without QE?
  2. Why I Would Never Knock Quindell!
  3. How To Spot A Bulletin Board Hero
  4. Trending Stocks: From Horse Hill, to mining minnows, O&G explorers and tech wonders.

As you can see there will be a lot for me to cover tomorrow, especially as it is traditional that the bulk of what goes on in ZaksTradingCafe is centred around themes, plays and stocks that the attendees are interested.

Therefore, do not be surprised if the agenda is swivelled around a little, with the odd guest speaker friend thrown in for good measure.
