FTSE 100

Admiral (ADM) – Statutory profit before tax up 1% to £183.3 million in the six months to June, dividend up by 1% at 49.4p per share. Announces the appointment of Geraint Jones as Group Chief Financial Officer.

Petrofac (PFC) – has been awarded a $500 million plus Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning contract for a refinery package in PETRONAS’ Refinery and Petrochemicals Integrated Development project in Pengerang, Johor, Malaysia.

AstraZeneca (AZN) – announces positive top-line results from Phase III clinical trials investigating the potential of lesinurad, a selective uric acid re-absorption inhibitor, as a combination therapy for the treatment of patients with symptomatic gout.

FTSE 250

Evraz (EVR) – announces the signing by EVRAZ Consolidated West Siberian Metallurgical Plant and EVRAZ Nizhny Tagil Metallurgical Plant of a US$425 million 5-year Pre-Export Credit Facility with a syndicate of international banks.

Michael Page (MPI) – pre-tax profits up by 11% at £35.6 million in the six months to June, interim dividend up 5.2% to 3.42p per share.

Pennon (PNN) – the overall financial performance since 31st March remains in line with management expectations.

Small caps

Amara Mining (AMA) – announces exceptional diamond drill and reverse circulation results from its 2014 drilling programme at its Yaoure Gold Project in Côte d’Ivoire.

GETECH (GTC) – unaudited preliminary results for the financial year to July are expected to show revenue of £6.6 million, profit before tax of £1 million, profit after tax of £1.4 million and an estimated EPS of 4.6p.

Eckoh (ECK) – has seen a significant increase in revenue and margins during the first quarter of the new financial year and current trading remains in line with market expectations.

UK Oil & Gas Investments (UKOG) – has signed a binding heads of agreement to subscribe £750,000 in cash for a further 12.5% equity interest in Horse Hill Development, taking UKOG’s interest from 7.5% to 20%

Plus500 (PLUS) – Net profit up 249% to $53.8 million in the six months to June.
