Playtech’s Italian acquisition gets regulatory approval

Italian gaming regulators have approved FTSE 250 gaming technology outfit Playtech‘s (LON:PTEC) €846 million acquisition of Snaitech. The company has agreed with shareholders to buy 70.6% of the issued share capital, which will trigger a mandatory takeover.

Playtech’s general meeting regarding the takeover is at the end of this month, with the initial acquisition now expected to take place during June and full completion by the end of 2018. Shares in the company stood at 811.20p at 12:35 BST, a rise of 10.80p relative to this morning’s open.
