Earlier this week I wrote about the annual results of the global small and mid-cap specialist Smithson (LON: SSON), with one of the main criticisms being the refusal of the Board to sanction a continuation vote, which it was required to consider as the discount had exceeded 10% during the year.
I am pleased to say that the Board has now changed its mind and included an ordinary resolution in favour of the continuation of the company in the notice of the AGM. Feedback from certain shareholders had made it clear that they regarded the vote as an important point of principle.
