Wednesday’s biggest riser was Admiral (LON:ADM), which climbed 7.25% to 2,708p after announcing the resumption of dividends. Severn Trent (LON:SVT) and Pennon Group (LON:PNN) were the runners up with gains of 5.03% and 4.91% respectively.
Avast (LON:AVST) saw the biggest drop, falling by 3% after posting half year results.
