Entertainment group Cineworld (LON:CINE) has revealed that revenues for the year to date are up by 11.6%, driven primarily by a strong performance in the United States. However, results in the UK, Ireland and the rest of the world were relatively disappointing with growth at roughly half the rate seen in America.
Management said that there had been some improvement during the second half of 2018 and there are number of major film releases scheduled for December.
Cineworld’s share price dropped by 8.02% to 873p (as of 14:30 GMT).
