Primary care REIT Assura (LON:AGR) has announced the acquisition of three new assets for a combined consideration of £50 million. These include the 6,000 square metre Stratford Health Centre that was bought for £30 million. These purchases bring Assura’s spend on property acquisitions this year to £158 million.

Chief executive Jonathan Murphy commented: “We are delighted to have added three more high quality assets to our portfolio, as we continue to deploy capital to grow our rent roll. Stratford, which is now one of the largest properties in our portfolio, is a great example of a medical centre acting as a hub for the community, bringing together a range of services in a primary healthcare setting.

Shares in Assura rose by 1.29% to 55p (as of 13:15 BST).
