Angus Energy and Alba get boost after planning approval

Shares in AIM-listed Alba Mineral Resources (LON:ALBA) and Angus Energy (LON:ANGS) climbed by 2.52% to 0.54p and 16.06% to 10.42p respectively (as of 14:45 BST) after the companies’ Brockham oil project received planning approval from Surrey County Council. Work on the oil project, which will use conventional methods rather than fracking techniques, will begin today.

Angus’ board of directors commented: “We thank the Surrey County Council for their careful consideration and deliberation on this matter and are deeply appreciative of the time work by all involved to bring this matter to a conclusion“.
