Ultra Electronics (LON:ULE) looks to me to have gone wrong. I certainly would not buy it and am minded to sell it. Now £12.30.
However, for the pension plan I keep on shorting Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA). TSLA is descending into farce and is as close to a gimme as I have ever encountered in the market. Now $315.
Old habits die hard: this one is to short Mitie (LON:MTO) – which I again did at 240p. Shares of course never owe one money. But MTO really ought to have a sense of guilt and deliver. Apparently, a rights issue is on the way.
On the bull tack, Beximco (LON:BXP) reports this morning and the figures show strong growth and EPS of, say, 6.5p for the year. There is no sign of this growth and success slowing. Keep at it. Now 65p.
And have you noticed that Pantheon (LON:PANR) is pulling away from the placing price of c. 45p a few weeks ago? This sort of buoyancy promises recovery of the old poise.
Some you win and some you lose: I laid out £25,000 on the Melbourne Cup last Tuesday and recovered £150,000. But by just one stroke I kissed goodbye to £100,000+ on Rickie Fowler in Mexico. Anyway, Cheltenham beckons for this weekend. Serious damage can be expected. At this stage I am unclear as to whether it is to me or the bookmakers.
